The NYTimes article

A popular article that reviews recent results of studies on studying:
From the NYTimes 9/6/10

A place to figure out your favorite study skills

Optimal study strategies vary across students depending on personal and contextual factors. Some people are able to sit and focus for hours while others have trouble spending more than fifteen minutes on a task. Some live in a quiet apartment while others are in a noisy dorm.

So, this blog isn't intended to find one best strategy. Rather, the goal is to help people share best practices. Those of you who have found helpful study skills should report them and people seeking new ideas to help in their studies can review the reported options to try to find one that fits their needs.

Please feel free to add anything relevant to study -- note-taking strategies, time management techniques, group study ideas, etc. If you have a comment on a posting already made (positive, negative, or extension), please add a comment, but be sure to keep comments constructive. What we hope to do is help people perform better in class by pooling best practices.

Thank you.
